IBM Under The Surface w/ Field.io, 2023

Behaviour and animation development for an interactive installation for IBM shown on the RSA and the Think conference in San Francisco in 2023. 

The project features a force-directed graph that demonstrates the structure of businesses, ranging from small to large scale. The viewer can interact with the whole company structure by using a Leap Motion and engage with the visuals on the screen. In the following chapters, it will show which nodes of the graph are vulnerable for hackers and how changing structures might impact the overall vulnerability. 

During the R&D phase, I played a role in investigating diverse sorting animations and approaches for illustrating the attack surface. Initially, the attack surface was depicted as a heatmap to highlight the vulnerable nodes, but this was ultimately discarded in the final phase. The animations are worth sharing as they depict some interesting behaviour.
