Taupe Magazine, 2023

Role: Visual Design

Artwork pieces for Taupe Magazine, an online platform for design research. This work was for their 2023 edition ‘As Above, So Below’. 

With this work, I explored human-made ecosystems designed purely for visual appeal, such as aquariums. Inspired by the way different species are incorporated into these ecosystems regardless of their biological compatibility, I aimed to create a similar fragmented effect by combining color pieces with cutouts of photographs. The result is a series of abstract collages featuring contrasting elements to evoke a sense of unconventional beauty.
